Welcome to Obedience Ministries Blog

This blog is for the sole purpose of delivering messages ordained by the Lord Jesus Christ that are spoken through Messenger Brian Plummer and Prophetess Carolyn Plummer. Obedience Ministries was formed in 2008 to help God’s people understand and learn the severity of Complete Obedience to the Lord in all things. Total surrender and obedience are required in fulfilling God’s ordained purpose for your life. This blog is an avenue to help those seeking teachings on total submission and learning how to walk in complete obedience.

How to Elevate to Total Submission (Part 1)

Submission to God’s will is the first step to complete obedience

God has given us the freedom to choose life or death.  John 14:6 states, “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” Once salvation is chosen, submission to God is the next choice we must make.  As I stated before in blog #2, complete submission is our sacrifice we must endure in order to bring forth God’s will; total obedience, fulfillment of your predestined purpose, and the expansion of His kingdom. Your salvation is for you; your submission to God is for others. Complete submission brings you into total obedience, enabling you to fulfill your predestined purpose. In John 20:21 Jesus states, “... As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” Your kingdom assignment is designed to bring others to Christ. In order to accomplish this, we must sacrifice our own will and submit to the Lord’s will. Just as we recited the Sinner’s Prayer of Redemption at the time of accepting Christ into our hearts, we must also recite the Prayer of Submission.  James 4:7-8 and verse 10; “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double minded.” Verse 10, “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.”The Prayer of Submission is your outward acknowledgement of surrendering to the Lord’s will and humbling yourself before Him.

The Prayer of Submission requires you verbally to:

1.      Repent for your acts of disobedience; yielding to your own will.
2.      Acknowledge the Lord’s supremacy and authority over your carnal will.
3.      Submit to the Lord’s will; yielding all of you unto Him.

Through the Prayer of Submission you present yourself to God as a living sacrifice. Romans 12:1-2 states “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.” Verse 2, “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” This is our “reasonable service,” to yield and humble ourselves to the perfect will of God. A transformation begins to take place simply by the willingness to submit. Strongholds in the demonic realm are instantly broken; the spirit of rebellion, self-idolization, deception, confusion, and haughtiness are the first to dissipate. The Lord begins the transformation and renewing of your mind by decreasing you. He begins by stripping you of all worldly things: thought processes, habits, carnal fleshly desires…all learned behaviors and demonic attachments from birth. Once these worldly things are removed God will begin to increase you! God will impart all the things of Him: including His nature, wisdom and knowledge. God will teach and train you in all areas of life and in your gifts in order to prepare you for your kingdom assignment. How? This is all accomplished through your obedience to God’s spoken and written word. Complete submission is the very first phase in this process. In complete obedience your carnal will (which is serving Satan in disobedience) and the Lord’s perfect will, cannot coexist. It’s like trying to mix oil and water; they can’t reside in the same place. You can shake it up as much as you want, eventually the oil and the water will separate back to their original form. Through total submission and obedience, only God’s perfect will can come forth.

When you surrender to God’s will, He establishes a covenant with you

Once you have sacrificed your will and yielded to the Lord’s, in His timing the Lord will release His mysteries concerning your purpose; the kingdom assignment God has chosen for you. God will also reveal His promises set forth for your life; His covenant with you. One thing that you must understand is that, for every person who is willing to sacrifice their own will, totally and completely, with every fiber of their being, yielding to the Lord, He forms with them a personal covenant.  Exodus 19:5-6 states, “Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine.” Verse 6, “And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation…” The Lord is saying obey my voice and keep my agreement and I shall honor you. This is for everyone who surrenders. God goes a step further and adds a personal covenant for each individual. God’s kingdom assignment for Abraham: to be the father of many nations. God’s covenant to Abraham: he shall birth an heir and his descendants shall be as many as the stars in the sky. Abraham was childless so he thought his heir was someone not of his seed. God’s covenant promise to Abraham was the birth of an heir. Isaac’s kingdom assignment: obedience; to dwell in a land God chose for him where He blessed him and he reaped a hundredfold. God’s covenant to Isaac: to perform the oath that He swore to Abraham, his father; to bless Isaac and his descendants. Do you see the pattern? God honors total submission and obedience with His blessings and covenants; not only for you, but your children’s children. Hebrews 6:13-15 states, “For when God made a promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself, saying, “Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.” And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.” Throughout the Bible God honors His covenant keepers with His blessings, favor, protection, supernatural power and authority.  Remember only yielding to God’s will can produce and bring forth His promises and covenant concerning your life.
